Full control over your financial data

I built Arbikeep so I could have full control over my own data. Using Arbikeep gives you that power as well. Most formats your current app exports can be imported into Arbikeep, including QIF, OFX, and CSV files from the major finance apps. Arbikeep allows for extensive backups: on the cloud, on your local device, and a backend database as a last resort safety net. You always have the ability to export any and all of your data in various useful formats. If you delete your account, your data is wiped from Arbikeep's records.

What you can export, any time

  • QIF and OFX: the standard formats most banks and finance tools already speak, so your data can move to another program if you ever want it to.
  • CSV and Excel (XLSX) reports: generic spreadsheet format.
  • PDF: formatted, printable reports of your transactions, income/expenses, and net worth.
  • Arbikeep's JSON formatting: a format specially suited for Arbikeep with the quickest and cleanest importing to Arbikeep, which includes optional encryption.

There's no premium tier that unlocks "real" export. Every format above is available to every user, free or paid, always.

How your data is protected

Arbikeep backs up your data in three independent ways: a local copy to a folder on your own device (with the option to also save backups encrypted if you choose), a version history in the cloud that lets a mistake be undone, and a weekly off-site export to my own backend servers, as a last resort safety net.

If Arbikeep ever shuts down

I run Arbikeep myself, so it's fair to ask what happens if I ever stop. If I shut it down, I'll email you at least 30 days before anything is turned off, and every export format above will keep working for that entire window. I'll remind you more than once. Nobody should lose years of history because I moved on.

What I don't do

I don't sell your data. I don't run ads against it. I don't use it to train AI models. I don't hold it hostage. If you ever want to leave, you take a complete, usable copy of your financial history with you, not a partial export designed to make leaving painful.
